The one of a kind Aengus console was built in 1973 for Indigo Ranch studios in Malibu, California. This legendary console, regarded as one of the greatest sounding desks ever made, has over 100 gold and platinum records to its name.
Being the only console in existence to have been personally modded by electronics wizard Deane Jensen, gives the Aengus its own unique sound unlike any other board in existence. From the specially designed 918 and 990 op amps, to the transformers in the mic pre, to the output transformer in the EQ, to the transformers in the fader amps - everything was customised by Jensen himself.
Indigo sadly closed its doors in 2006, and luckily all of the gear was removed before the studio was totally destroyed by a forest fire in 2007. The Aengus went into storage until 2012 when it was purchased by Marc Golde and shipped to Rock Garden Studios in Appleton, Wisconsin. There, it went under a year long restoration including an upgraded power supply and has been lovingly maintained ever since, firmly imprinting itself in the Wisconsin music scene.
As of July 2025, the Aengus was purchased by The Joplin House in England where its legacy will continue.
